Note about the 640 manual - 12 pages specific to the 640 series only This supplement provides instructions which apply only to Classes 640, 645, 646 and 648 Machines. All other instructions will be the same as for the 630, 635, 636 and 638 Machines.

In short, this manual does not cover hook to needle timing and other adjustments that apply to the 600, 620 or 630 models. The manual may also have the user reference the 600 & 603 manual, and the 620 series manual. Manuals are as received from the vendor. If you require more in depth service needs; I suggest the combo set I offer, which includes all the 600 series factory manuals.

Japanese Belt Kit Announcement - I hope to offer, perhaps before year end, timing belt kits for the obsolete, discontinued Singer kits for the machines that were made in Japan. Belt kit 541207 was discontinued, but I do hope to revive it for models that I know of: 610U 615U 650U 680U 690U 698U, keep an eye out if you are needing one of these kits.
